• INDIGO Fleet- INDIGO Fleet occupies the most coreward expanse of the Federation Treaty Zone, along its borders in the Alpha Quadrant.  It is much further away than most of the other fleets, and can often be isolated for small periods of time from supplies, communication, etc.  Its most dangerous external threat continues to be the Dalriada; INDIGO took the brunt of the Federation's war with the Dalriada in 2410 and continues to be the main Federation deterrent to Dalriadan aggression.

• ORANGE Fleet- ORANGE is the Research and Development Fleet.  As a general rule of thumb, ORANGE has no active starships of its own, only personnel, equipment and experimental ship designs.  Once a ship has passed its initial systems testing, it moves out of ORANGE Fleet to one of the other fleets for more on-the-job testing.

• GRAY Fleet- GRAY is the Inactive Reserve Fleet; it is the place where many ASR ships go after their active service is up.  This fleet is reactivated in times of emergencies.

There have also been several fleets which did exist at one time in ASR, but no longer do due to mergers, changes in command and the like.

• WHITE Fleet- WHITE's existence last precisely one year, from November of 2406 until the same month in 2407, when Line Admiral Azariah Nicholas re-designated the fleet SILVER Fleet.

• RED Fleet- RED was completely wiped out of existence by a rogue energy wave which destroyed everything in its path just at the beginning of 2411.  What was left of the fleet continued operations for another couple of months under the command of Commodore T'Prai, until VIOLET Fleet was established in its stead in March of 2411.

• VIOLET Fleet- VIOLET, under the command of  Rear Admiral R.B. Hess, took over RED's area of operation until it was finally split between GREEN, GOLD and SILVER Fleets a couple of months later, in June of 2411.

• SAPPHIRE Fleet- under the command of Vice Admiral Goblin Fox, SAPPHIRE patrolled the regions to the galactic 'west,' coreward of SILVER and GOLD Fleets, between April 2417 and September 2418.

As mentioned, none of these fleets are open for role play at this time.  However, they are assumed to either exist now and/or have existed at one time.
