What is ASR? We're a Star Trek role-playing
game/interactive fiction writing club, set up in the Usenet
newsgroup
alt.starfleet.rpg
(with a Yahoo! Groups
web archive), where we publish our stories. Founded
in 1991, ASR has grown to 20 units and more than 130 active
players. Our role playing units, ranging from starbases
to starships, battlecruisers to Marine battalions, even
fighter wings, are all different and unique in their playing
styles, and everyone will probably find a unit that's to
his or her liking.
Although all of our role-playing (RP)
is in English, our membership consists of players of all
ages from all over the world and from all sorts of backgrounds.
Some are quite knowledgeable about Star Trek, but
the majority are people who just want to enjoy an entertaining
role-playing game and to write Star Trek fiction
with other players.
