SCENE: The Mysterious Ghost Ship

Cort deactivated his grav-boots and floated up a long shaft leading
through the core of the ship. Peter and Robin followed suit, while the
other members of the squadron explored through the other parts of the
ship. The helmet light on his EVA suit glowed dimly against the sable
darkness. He looked back and forth catching the glint on the nearly
frozen metallic surfaces of the ancient vessel.

<Still nae clues as t' who this ship belonged to?> Cort's voice seemed
to ring slightly in the speakers, as if the hollowness of the craft was
somehow affecting the reverberation of his intercomm system. Robin
nodded her head, even though he didn't see, <There are a variety of
alien remains aboard, but no clue as to who they are and or which one
was responsible for this vessel.>

Cort understood. With the scare that Khollet had given them, this ship
was getting very spooky, and he didn't want to stay on board more than
he had to. <We need t' find the command deck, an' see which aliens are
sittin' at th' controls!> He brushed passed a dangling cable and headed
on up to a branch in the tunnel they were following. <Well, which way?>

Robin arrived next, and glanced down a darkened tunnel, <I guess this
wa*> SHe was cut short by a cry of surprise from Peter, who was looking
down the other path. Both of the senior officer's floated over to his
side, <What?> Cort tried not to let his nerves show through his
voice...they were frazzled.

<I saw a light...look! There it is again!> Peter pointed down the long
shaft toward a flickering light that could be seen by all three. Cort
gulped, <I guess this is th' way we go!>

Respectfully submitted,
