The computer registered weapons fire, and started the intruder
alert as it wasn't a standard Federation signature given by the weapon.

The beam struck Morgan's artificial arm, burning a gouge in a
rough line towards his hand. As quickly as it started, it stopped. The
person who was apparently holding the weapon noticed that their arm had
disappeared and paniced. The device clattered to the deck and lay deathly
still, as was Sickbay at the moment. Everyone was initially startled by
the sudden weapons fire.

Dr. Mara quickly checked Morgan out again to see if there were
anymore injuries in addition to the ones he came in with. Thankfully, the
beam had hit partway down along the artificial arm. A security team
entered Sickbay just as the Lisa got Morgan to the closest operating
table, and started to treat his wounds.

A short time later, Morgan regained something that resembled
consciousness. He was stiff, lightheaded, and almost naked, but he was
alive and awake. He vaguely noticed Serra beside him, and felt the
familiar hum of the Yamato, so he knew that they were safe. Atleast for
the moment.

Ryoga scanned the latest report on the damage. Emergency hull
repairs were done, and work on the last impulse engine was proceeding.
That left only minor things left until they could get an overhaul at a
Star Base. The few survivors from the destroyed ships were beamed
aboard, and the ones who were able to work did so. They volenteered
mostly, some to get revenge, others because they felt they could make a
difference. War was hell...

	<Miller to Engineering>

	"Hibiki here, whaddya got Miller?"

<Looks like the hydrometric regulator's trashed on the impulse
unit. We'll have to replace it, but there isn't a spare in Stores.>

"Dammit, can't we bypass it or something?"

<Nope, and we can't run it off another unit either. I can't
repair it either. From the look of it, I'd say it took a direct hit.>

"Okay, do what you can without it. I'll see what the chief has to
say. Ryoga out."

He took one look around Engineering, posted a few orders to the
scattered crews and set out for Sickbay. He found Morgan there, patched
up almost as well as the ship was, from an engineers point, that was good.
He looked around for the doctor, and when he didn't notice her in sight,
handed a PADD to Morgan. Then he went to inquire about when Morgan could
be released, giving the CEO ample time to review the sitrep and give a few
thoughts on how to speed up repair time.

By the time Ryoga returned, Morgan was asleep again. Ryoga
retrieved the PADD and left to resume duties in Engineering. Upon
arriving, he read Morgan's orders, and blanched at the last one...scan the
wreckage of the battle fleet and take what was in working order.
Scavenge. That order sickened Ryoga, but he assigned a team to do it
anyways.

	After all, war IS hell...
