Connor sat back in his chair. 'Damn, she is going to hate this. But I need
him in action.'
"Bridge to Sickbay"

<It better be good. I am up to my elbows in elbows here.>

"Dr, I am sending Morgan to Sickbay. Once you have him patched up, I want
him released immeadiately." Alex tried to make it an order without sounding
impersonal. Mara made no such effort.

<Then treat him yourself. I do not let people out until their body says it
is all right. Get your medical qualifications & then we will talk.>

"Dr."

For a moment there was silence. <Do not ever pull rank on me on a medical
issue again. I will release him as soon as he will be of any use to you.
However, I suggest, that if you are ever going to get him here, you will
need to do something other than order him..... People have a great deal of
problems obeying orders around here. Have you noticed?>. A slight note of
humour crept back into Lisa's voice.

"I am aware of the problem. Thank you Dr." That could have gone worse.

"Thank you Sara. Unfortunately, there is only so long I can keep him
sedated. I imagine that he will be out getting more injuries shortly. I
will put a patch over these." Mara smiled at Sara with a child nestled on
each arm. "Keep safe."

"We will."

Mara lifted Morgan into her arms, & turned back to the Sickbay proper,
taking care not brush against the remains of the metal bar in his shoulder.
She took a step towards the doorway, when a scream peirced through the air.
A hand appeared holding some sort of hand weapon. A finger contracted. A
beam of light surged forward. In its path, Sara & the children. Lisa dived,
trying to get between the beam & the twins. Even as she leapt, she knew she
wasn't going to make it. Clothing tore as her wings struggled to free
themselves, struggled to give that little extra movement. She almost forgot
the man in her arms. His arm was flung forward with the force of her leap.
Straight into its path.

NRPG Another visitor from the alternate dimension. (Or at least a bit of
him.) Let's hope this is Morgan's bad arm. I thought it only fitting that
he be the hero.

Pat: OK, she only argued a little bit, but he will pay for this later. At
least a steak.
